Error in WP 2.8

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

I updated both my sites to the latest wordpress version 2.8 but it gave me headache at first. It would not read my posts and I was bothered because I nominated my other blog in a contest and it couldn’t display errors. So I checked out what’s wrong under the wp-includes/formatting.php file and to my surprise it was about the smilies. So I tried deactivating my custom smilies plugin and it worked. My posts were visible again.

The only one thing I hate is that I could no longer use my cute smilies. It was just so frustrating. After having headaches reading the tutorials on how to install them, they would no longer be available. I haven’t researched about how to work with this… but I think there is still no solution.

I want my smilies to appear soon. Have you experienced the same, too? Or you had other problems? :)

File DNL

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

Have you experienced downloading a file for million of hours or even days and while attempting to open it, it wont just open because the file cannot be read by your computer? That really annoys me knowing I can’t view my downloaded file. I know I could have looked at the file extension first but my excitement to download something like a movie or a song makes me forget to check it.

Windows find solution at this problem by informing us what program to use when opening a certain file. But sometimes it is still hassle to download the software and you just end up deleting the file and look for another one to download for years. Yes, annoying.

Some computers can’t read eCards, eBooks, eCatalogs and eBrochures because they have File Extension DNL which only few computers can read, I think.  In order for you to view or read the online materials you need to install a File Extension DNL reader. It’s actually hassle free because it will only take 7-10 seconds to download depending on how your internet connections’ speed. It will only take 1MB space in your computer so you don’t really have to worry.

This File Extension DNL reader software is virus, spyware and adware free!
