I\u2019m pretty surprised October 31 is a holiday in the Philippines. Like never it was before, I believe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soooo, it is time to visit home. I went home last month but only to bring home mama\u2019s bag and treats from Thailand. As I type this, I am still prepping to drive home (oh a statement that I would never in my life thought would be possible too – but I have been doing so for the last seven months – yes, I now know how to drive!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t get the chance to buy a fancy candle for Percy this time, but I would not miss to visit him on all soul\u2019s day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of home, Ly and I went on viewing apartments the past few weeks. I was initially locked in a property along the same street we currently live in, but similarly it is an old building and way too much musty! I thought I couldn\u2019t get away from Salcedo (I don\u2019t even go to Salcedo market anymore because of egregious prices, and lack of variety) until we viewed another property along Malugay street. It is years way more modern than what we previously viewed.. and it offers more amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I\u2019m sad to leave our current place, it doesn\u2019t make us happy anymore in terms of space. We accumulated so much stuff over the past three years that the lack of storage becomes an issue. Plus, laundry is a huge concern for us because we always drive to Shine every Saturday just to do it for the past three years. The new place also offers a decent gym with better and newer equipment than our current building offers so it will save me a ton from gym membership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t wait to move and put up a decent Christmas tree on this spot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
